In 1999 the “Harbor Blast” annual summer concert series was born and received it’s name with the help of Joan Shortell.

The concert series started out as a fundraiser for the Colonial Heights Jaycees along with Bill Cato of Appomattox Boat Harbor in 1999, and evolved through the years to benefit numerous local non-profit organizations.

This is the seventeenth consecutive year for the Harbor Blast Community Concert Series.

Many local businesses help sponsor this community concert series that brings together live music, great food, lots of family-friendly fun by the river, and helps raise money for a worthy community cause.

So come join us this summer and listen to great music, bring your family and friends, and hang out by the river.
